Romeo Cosma, pianist, composer, and professor at University of Arts “George Enescu” Iasi, Romania, jazz section.

Awards for his compositions: “Danubian Jazz”, Galati, Romania, but also the prizes offered by the Union of Composers and Musicologists in 1995 and 1999.
He founded The Fest-jazz & Blues and performed a series of concerts at the “Moldova” Philharmonic, illustrating stages of jazz evolution and also organised creation/interpretation competitions for students ( from Iasi and all over the country), taken as opportune formes of artistic emulation.
Being a piano (or electronic keyboard) player and the leader of the band, Romeo Cosma distinguished himself as a presence in clubs, concerts and festivals, in Romania and abroad (Republic of Moldova, France, Germany, U.S.A.,etc.) in different formulas, from piano soloist to combo and big band (beginning with his own band “Studio” in 1980) and also performed as a soloist with symphonic orchestras.
At the occasion of the “La Fete de la Musique” festival in Iasi, his stage performances brought him well-deserved applause as well as his summer tour with his band in Germany (Koln, Dusseldorf, Gummersbach, Aachen) or his performances on the stages of some jazz festivals like ArCub 2000 from Bucuresti and Brasov 2000.
In 2001 he performed at the Jazz Festival “Napocensis” in Cluj, at the International Jazz Festival in Sibiu and in different concerts (like “Great Jazz” and “Johnny Raducanu” mega-show, both in Bucharest)
